The Galloping Table is based on a Piedmontese centre table (circa 1790) but reimagined with a sycamore top and a patinated red painted base.
The specialist red paint finish of the base, created by Max in collaboration with an artisan furniture painter, was inspired by the finish to the base of a Dutch tilt top table dating to 1760.
The table is made and decorated in West Sussex and is available in two heights: one perfect for dining, the other ideal as a centre table.

The dimensions below refer to both the centre table version and the dining table. Both have the same diameter.
The standard sized dining table seats 4–6 comfortably: additional leaves can be provided, increasing the seating by 2 people comfortably per leaf.

Alternative Finish
As per the eighteenth-century Piedmontese table that inspired it, the Galloping Table can be crafted in solid walnut – albeit American black walnut. This is then polished to an antiqued finish.
It is also possible to order the Galloping Table with an additional leaf to allow it to extend.
