The Paxton Footstool was the first of the Bespoke ottomans and stools, its leg modelled on that of a very good, early-Victorian sofa Max had bought and subsequently sold. A traditionally upholstered, box-framed stool, the beading at its base draws the eye to the strong, supporting legs, each of which stands on a spun and ribbed castor.

Traditionally upholstered solid beech frame.
Hand-turned legs and beading in American black walnut, finished with oil and wax.*
Cup castors to all four legs.
Made to order in the UK.

Fabric Requirements

Standard size requires:

2.5 metres (2.7 yards) of fabric (plain and standard width)
4.5 metres (4.9 yards) of braid for the base
4.5 metres (4.9 yards) of flanged cord for the top or 1.5 metres (1.6 yards) of fabric for a contrast piping
