Uppark Sofa

Based on a sofa manufactured by Gillows for Uppark, a fantastic Queen Anne house perched on top of the Sussex Downs, and now in the care of the National Trust. The model shown has white painted legs, but can also be made with hand-turned mahogany legs finished to match the antique. The frame is made traditionally using only solid beech and all the joints are mortice and tenon.

  • Traditionally upholstered solid beech frame.
  • Single hair-wrapped, with latex core, seat cushion.*
  • Includes single bolster cushion as standard.
  • Hand-painted beech legs.
  • Hand cast unlacquered brass cup castors, with leather wheels.
  • Also available as a ‘fully fitted’ feather cushion version.*
  • Made to order in the UK.

Fabric Requirements

Standard size requires:

  • 11 metres (12 yards) of fabric (plain and standard width).
  • 3 metres (3.3 yards) of fabric for contrast piping (if required).
