Elm & Sycamore Lambing Chair, circa 1780

A highly unusual lambing chair from the last quarter of the eighteenth century. Mainly made from elm, however, the arms and crest rail are made from sycamore. The drop-in seat is newly upholstered in an antique dyed linen.
