George III Elm & Sycamore Fireside Lambing Chair, circa 1780

A highly unusual lambing chair from the last quarter of the eighteenth century. The well-figured elm panelled back with sycamore crest rail and arms. The drop-in seat is newly upholstered in an antique dyed linen. A wonderful country fireside chair.
