Fruitwood Ladder-Back Side Chair, circa 1790

A George III rush-seated fruitwood ladder-back side chair, possibly from Lincolnshire. The back with straight uprights and flattened top finials, and four graduated arched splats above a rush seat. Standing on cabriole front legs with a prominent baluster-turned front rail in walnut, and turned stretchers. Bottom splat lost in antiquity.
