George I Elm & Walnut Chest on Stand, circa 1730

This early-eighteenth century elm and walnut chest on stand is a rare survivor. Standing on cabriole walnut legs, the drawer fronts vertically veneered and banded in elm with boxwood and ebony line stringing, having their original brassware. All cross grain mouldings in elm. The sides veneered in walnut, with boxwood line detailing. Standing on walnut cabriole legs.
