A mid-18th-century American red walnut envelope table with a single drawer. The triangular tabletop with cross-banded borders, opening on a gate-leg support to create a square table – a clever design, possibly made to fit into the corner of a room until in use. The elegant shaped frieze over cabriole legs with pad feet.
