George II Walnut & ‘Mulberry’ Longcase Clock, circa 1750

A mid-eighteenth century longcase clock by William King of London. The case with a 'mulberry' veneer, walnut crossbanded door, standing on a square plinth base. The hood with gilt metal mounted doric columns flanking the 12-inch brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, signed 'William King, LONDON', the twin train movement striking a bell.
