Hoof Armchair

A new addition to the MR Bespoke collection for 2021, the Hoof Armchair was inspired by an eighteenth-century Northern Italian walnut armchair – its shape too wonderful not to emulate. This interpretation, however, demonstrates a strikingly pared-back approach to upholstery – finished with close studding – that nods to tradition while feeling entirely contemporary. The solid frame in beech, the legs and showood in American black walnut. 

The showood finish depicted is our Polished Antique Walnut, however, it can be oiled and waxed, or ebonised (prices may vary). A slim feather-and-down seat pad is also an optional extra.

Price exclusive of fabric, but includes upholstery costs. A standard Hoof Chair requires 3.5m of fabric (plain and standard width).
