Majestic Tuscan Carved and Panelled Four Poster Bed, circa 1740

An impressive mid-18th-century Italian four poster bed. The solid walnut canopy with geometric panelling over four carved and fluted columns with corinthian capitals. The column bases with ornately carved leafing vines, terminating in newly built tulipwood base rails and turned bun feet (newly rebuilt from the bottom of the column down). Complete with a newly made custom divan and velvet headboard.
