Oak Escritoire, circa 1680

A seventeenth-century oak escritoire, with carved acanthus leaf frieze above a geometric panelled fall front. The fall enclosing a fitted interior of fourteen drawers and nine pigeon holes around a central cupboard. The stand fitted with four short drawers raised on barley-twist legs with shaped stretchers on turned bun feet. Circa 1680.
