Pair of 18th-Century Side Chairs, in the manner of Thomas Roberts

A pair of early-eighteenth century side chairs in the manner of Thomas Roberts. The upholstery is partially stripped to reveal the eighteenth-century layer of bold gingham blue and white fabric. Standing on walnut cabriole legs joined by shaped stretchers, they bear the chair makers stamp 'WH'. Circa 1710.
