Welsh Llanelly ‘Auntie Sal Cockerel’ Chamfered-Square Bowl

A charming Welsh Llanelly bowl of chamfered-square form, adorned with the distinctive Llanelly Pottery primitive blue cockerel surrounded by a sponged floral border. The bowl with external wear, as photographed. Sold as found.

The cockerel dishes were painted at Llanelly Pottery by Sarah Jane Roberts, affectionately known as Auntie Sal. The perfect accompaniment to a Welsh dresser or Delft rack.
